Another Update
Hey all. I know it's been a while. No inspiration to write. Which is quite ironic since I have to do it for a living. Damn those spammers. My blog had become a bit slow to navigate and some posts and pics were in shambles. So had to delete some of them.. anyways, you can still see them anyway on my facebook.
Having said that, am contemplating deleting this blog of mine.. Not there's heavy reader traffic here anyway... so, yeah.

The Expat Mandi-Mandi @ Ulu Yam
Ok, I can safely say it's been a helluva long time since I had a dip in the river/mandi sungai. Try pre-pubescent. Took me back to when I was about six years old when my uncle used to take us nieces and nephews to Pertak near Kuala Kubu Baru...the good ol days. Anyway, we at the office decided to have a picnic outing last Saturday. Our IT guy Rusli suggested the idea of a barbecue so suffice to say we were gamed! We went to Ulu Yam...down in the boonies somewhere after Batu Caves. On the way there we passed this pretty lake/dam (I forgot what it's called now) and the area was just so picturesque. I was definitely pumped. Nice to escape KL for once and get back to nature.
So, we convoyed from Batu Caves and finally reached there after 10am. Although it had been chucking the day before, we were blessed with beautiful weather until we left at 3pm. I forgot how freaking cold the stream water was...being the wuss I am (sometimes) I had to gingerly dunk; limb by limb. And then I just went for it...cccccoolld! I thought it was just me but then a certain person I know gave this expression - "Mother fucker thats cold!". :-)

An Update If You Will...
Right... I haven't had any inspiration to regale all my loyal readers (all but 3 I think... ) on the joys and wonderfulness going on in my life. There were some eventful and funny incidents, I might add.
Ah, if only I could make a sitcom about the people I meet and goings on here and there, ... probably earn enough to buy a few marbles.
Anyway, here are some pictorials of events from the last time I posted some words here..

Whoah...Deja Vu!
Oh dearie me...these guys are back! The New Kids On The Block just released a new single! Ok, granted they're old farts now to ever be reinjected into the Boy Band Hall of Fame, but dammit, after watching this video, it brought me back to the 90s when I remember swooning over these dudes after school, before school and during school. Shees... haha.
I'm not embarrass to admit they still have their boyish charm. Believe it or not, I still keep those cheesy button badges of them I had since when I was 12! Ya ha! Just brings back so many memories. Anyway, here's the video...haha.. and it still reeks CHEESY and CORNY! Well done, guys!

Retro Madness!
Ok so my office 60s Rooftop Party at Bangsar Village II was freakin' fun on Saturday night! We co-hosted the shindig with the Bangsar Village management and all in all it was a blast...from the past!
We (mostly the girls from The Expat Group) were all dolled up in 60s attire. Yours truly managed to buy a decent dress at the last minute and also set her hair Jackie O style (a bouffaint too, yes siree!). There was one expat who came as Austin Powers...brilliant! So, yes we had an awesome time singing and dancing to the Grease soundtrack and other good oldies. Oh and by the by one of our staff got cold feet at the last minute to MC the event so guess who had to step up? Ya ha!
Tripple brownie points from the boss, thank you very much! Anyway, here are the pics.
