Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya

Well the festive season is upon us again. I say let the merriments begin! It's Friday and I am ... working (on a break now, of course). AND also working this weekend because I hate being poor! So, since my car is up for its annual insurance renewal, work it is. Looking forward to going back to Penang to chow down on the abundance of Raya feasts (mom's cooking and other relatives'). Since most of my aunts, uncles and cousins from KL will be there as well, it should be fun!

With all that said, I wanna take this chance to wish all you guys Happy Deepavali and Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin! Have fun and take care! Oh yeah ... and remember to eat a lot! Toodles!

Hazy Schmazy!

Was it just me or was the sky the bluest of blue I've ever seen on Saturday (yesterday)? Despite the scorching heat I thought it was that "nice sunny day" I've seen in a while. But of course, the good things in life, or MY life at least, is always shortlived. Like today. The bloody haze practically blanketed what would have been a sunny day today too, with its smoky air and what ever the hell is it floating around us. Even had to hold my breath when I took out the trash outside my house. Be that as it may, the past two weeks were quite eventful. I am seriously considering taking the offer to work at the magazine after the internship. If all goes well, I can still do my degree here and work at the magazine, IF my other option to go to Australia is shattered to smithereens by the scholarship-deciding people. Actually, both options has its plus points. If I don't get the scholarship, I still get an income and get to study PLUS the chance to move out and stay on my own. Of course, if the angels are looking down on me and I DO get the scholarship, woo hoo to me!
Anyway, it feels really good to actually WANT to go to work everyday, inspite of the somewhat long commute. Also, we'll be moving to our new office in a week or so! Yipster! I guess what editor said was right. New office, new environment, new furniture does boost the morale up a notch. And I do thank my lucky stars that I was in the right place at the right time. Five more weeks to go. Hope all you guys are doing alright at your respective organizations. Later!
