This time, this place
Misused, mistakes
Too long, too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance, just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know, you know, you know
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me, and you'll never go
Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore
On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all, I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know, you know, you know
So far away
Been far away for far too long
So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know
I wanted, I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed, I need to hear you say
That I love you, I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go

This is my inspiration.

It's like a silent voice speaking to me from the world inside my wardrobe.

The last time I could fit in this divine pair of Levi's was eight years ago in 1998.

After I "outwore" this pair, I had purchased two pairs of Levi's.

My mission?

To wear it.

Somehow in a weird way I can feel that this year will be eventful for me. But then again, Gosh, I don't wanna jinx it. Like I said in my previous post, I HAVE to make stuff happen. Accomplish a few things that I let slip out of my hands. It just freakin' scares me that time passes by so fast. And of course, the unevitable will happen next month. I will turn 28. Oh, God, please help me accept the things I cannot change. It's ok. It's all good. Nothing but a number.
Anyway, I'm sure most of you guys and gals ushered in 2006 with a bang or at least out somewhere with a group of people. For me, it was nonetheless, quiet and different compared to the previous years. I decided that perhaps I should not be so obsessed in succumbing to consumerism of "New Year's Eve" celebrations. I mean let's be honest here. Owners of hotels, pubs, clubs, what have you ... are laughing all the way to the bank because all they hear is ... Kacchiing!! If only there weren't such a thing as traffic jams though. So, in an attempt not to increase my stress level, I left Subang at about 6-ish in the evening and headed towards my aunt's condo in Cheras. The weather was of course horrible because it was raining hippos and rhinos. I eventually arrived there about 7.15. Since my aunt's condo was on the 15th floor, it cool and breezy and the smell of the rain was soothing.
So, the night was gonna be just myself, my aunt and uncle and my boy cousins. Or so I thought. It was then that my uncle, whom I'm very close to and adore like my own father, suggested we hit Kajang town to chow down some 'Sate Kajang'! Suffice to say my stomache rumbled as if you could hear a brass band inside. Off we went and despite having to tolerate a minor jam, the food was good! THAT was a lot a' meat! The 'kuah kacang' was very tasty. It took a while for the sate to arrive since the place was packed, so I ended up finishing half my kuah as though drinking soup. With full bellies, we headed home and got comfortable, pyjamas and all, and planted ourselves in front of the TV while waiting for the countdown at KLCC park. Unfortunately, my aunt and uncle who were the party poopers, went to sleep by 11. So it was just me and the boys seizing the moment to lament how lame the concert at Dataran Merdeka was.
3...2...1... Happy New Year!!!!! We could actually see a bit of the fireworks from the balcony. It was so pretty. That was it. A new year. New things to look forward to. I don't want to sound corny or sentimental like some wuss, but I had a flashback to when my cousins were born. I look at the three boys now and I think, "Geez, has it been that long?" I remember baby-sitting them, changing their diapers (yes, siree! I started my baby-sitting skills very early) and being the victim of their pre-pubescant torment. They were so cute. And now, their guys. With GIRLFRIENDS, mind you! I love those boys. With good parents like my aunt and uncle, together with their stellar guidance, the boys turned out to be gems. The oldest boy actually brought his girlfriend and other college mates over for tea today. It was so sweet. Maybe I should show the girl his baby picture of him in just diapers and embarrass the living daylights out of him. He he. The second boy, who is studying at the International Islamic Uni, who also has his own band (I have faith that one day they will be known), was given a new handphone by his 'girlfriend' (he blushed like a tomato when his mom saw it). No need for guys to lure the chicks. Times have changed!
Life is short. It is so short it's not even funny. I hope all goes well this year for my family and friends. Let's make it a good one.
