Wednesday, December 1, 2004, 7.52pm ... Somebody get me some earplugs!! Serves me right for not coming into this cyber cafe with some cotton wool at least! Noise pollution is an understatement. Counter Strike has conquered this whole damn place. I swear it's like being in the middle of a battle field. Boom!Boom!Boom! left, right and centre! Sound effects? State-of-the-art! The cafe "tauke" must have invested two arms and a leg for this place. People, I'm sure you can just imagine the type of patrons that are here right now, surrounding me. Teenagers, adolescent school boys who are blowing off some steam since it's the school holidays, right? NOT! The place is filled with men unleashing the hidden child stuck in all of them. I'm talking 20-somethings here. Who was it that said there is a child in all of us? Hmmm..... I guess Freud was right. Maybe it's their way of getting some sort of pleasure by playing video games until their eyeballs pop out of their sockets!
