It happened again today. I had walked out of the door in the morning to go to college, totally oblivious to what I had done. While sipping my usual morning kopi o' ais and going over my speech for Ms Stella's class, my good ol' compadre Brendon comes to me and says, "Eh, your sister just called me ... she said you dropped your handphone at home!". Hells spells, I did not even notice that my handphone was gone. Did not want to imagine if I had lost it elsewhere. People, this was obviously not the first time such a thing had happened to me, who, might I add, has the potential of being the God damn mayor of Absentminded-ville! I had just lost my wallet two weeks ago. Don't pity me, I might as well have given it to the person who found it on a silver platter with a note that said, "Hi, here's some cash, ATM cards, bus tickets, Aunty Anne's Pretzel coupons, driver's license and IC ... knock yourself out!"
I had thanked my sister profusely for actually calling Brendon to ask him to tell me that she found my phone on the porch at home. Needless to say I would have cried until the cows came home had I noticed that my phone was gone.
Is there such a symptom as Alzheimer's syndrom for juniors?
